Why Mitt Will Win

Great Article by David Brody:

"Mitt Romney’s victory in the Iowa Straw Poll was not unexpected but let’s break this down a little so you have a real sense of what’s going on here.

What this victory says to me is that from day one, the Romney campaign has been extremely organized and active. Giuliani and McCain admit they couldn’t compete in Iowa. Why? Romney had beaten them to the punch. His national campaign staff and his staff in Iowa were put together at a pretty early stage as far as presidential campaigns go. Just like the successful CEO he is, Romney laid the groundwork early for this Straw Poll victory. The Romney campaign is like a fine oiled machine.

Romney also spent the most time here. Brownback and Huckabee tried to rival that but Romney’s been traveling here since 2006. He’s also put a lot of money into television campaign ads…spending more than any other candidate. Sure Romney spent a lot of money and yes, Giuliani, McCain and Fred Thompson weren't playing here but Romney can only play who's in the game. Just because Shaq and Dwayne Wade don't dress doesn't mean you let up and blow the game. Romney didn't.
The easy story to write is that Romney won because of all those factors. But it goes deeper. Those factors (organization, television ads, time spent, forward looking plan) are characteristics of a top notch campaign team. Yes Romney is the main guy, the front man but he doesn’t get it done without smart people behind him and the team he has assembled is intellectually and enthusiastically engaged.

Romney has taken a lot of political shots from Sam Brownback, grassroots activists, Tom Tancredo, the anti-Mormon crows, the skeptical pro-life crowd, etc. He’s put up with a lot of attacks on his character. But you know what? Through it all, he never cracked. He never took the low road. That is saying something. Oh, and yes, by the way it also didn’t stop him from cementing a convincing victory in Ames.

So what does Romney’s victory mean for the future? In the short term, it means he can win Iowa and be considered a serious candidate to win the nomination. But in the longer term it shows that if he ever does win the nomination, he and his campaign staff will be a force to be reckoned with in the general election. They have shown throughout this campaign that they have what it takes to not only win the Republican nomination but vault their candidate to the title, “President Romney.”

Hillary and Obama Vote To Make America Unsafe

These two want to be President of the United States of American but do not want to protect the United States of America. Check out what defense tool they voted against!

"When Al Qaeda calls into America, we should be listening. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama voted against this common-sense foreign intelligence tool. They are dangerously out of touch when it comes to defending the homeland. Our most basic civil liberty is the right to be kept alive. We must use every reasonable measure to keep America safe." – Gov. Mitt Romney
Exactly right. The decision by the two Democratic senators to oppose modernizing surveillance authority in an age of terror is a major issue for the fall of '08, even if they realize prior to the next vote that they shouldn't be on the side of preserving the privacy interests of terrorists. When either of the two next confront a member of the MSM, perhaps lightning will strike and they will be asked why they opposed the FISA reform which carried both houses of Congress handily and with bipartisan support.

Barack Obama - The Honeymoon is Over

Those of you that are married know all to well when the honeymoon is over and I don't mean getting back from your one week trip to a tropical island with your new spouse. The timing is different for everyone but you know when it is over. For me it was about 6 months into my marriage and my wife started yelling at me to get in the kitchen right now. I thought that something was terribly wrong. She said in a sharp tone, "how many times do I have to tell you to close the cabinets after you get something out of them." I was like are you kidding me. However, the look in her eyes told me that she was really angry and at that point I knew the honeymoon was over. The giddiness, the silly talk, and the sex had all started to diminish.

So it is with Barack Hussein Obama. He has been the media darling for the last 2 plus years. He has had several books written about him. He is a top tier candidate who has raised more money than the Clinton machine and what has he accomplished.....

NOTHING!

Don't get me wrong he has been a successful student and has been able to be elected to Congress but based on what?

Well the flirting and fun is starting to end. We are seeing him without his "make up." He is starting to have "headaches" instead of jumping into bed for passionate love making. More clearly he is starting to reveal to the world who he really is, and that is an inexperienced novice who is ill-prepared to run this country.

In one week he has said that he would be willing to sit down and have face to face talks with enemies and tyrants like Castro and Chavez. He would probably go to Osama's cave and chat it up if he could find him. Too bad Saddam is already dead. Or maybe he could transport back in time and play chess with Hitler and shoot the crap with Stalin. I am a young guy who doesn't have the sense to shut a kitchen cabinet after getting a plate out but I have the since not to have direct chats with dictators.

And then...

He tries to pretend that he is not a wimp by saying he would unilaterally invade our ally Pakistan if they don't do more to root out terrorists!!!! Mitt Romney put it best when he said in a recent debate, "He went from Jane Fonda to Dr. StrangeLove in one week." I got an idea how about you bomb our ally England if they don't allow more Muggles into Hogwarts, or bomb Australia if they don't make Crocodile Dundee 4.

This is just the beginning of his gross incompetence, ivory towering, and inability to live in reality. I guess it is just the professor in him.

So if you were undecided about this media darling, beware! It's not to late to take the ring back and wait for a more suitable candidate. It will save you trouble down the road and for heaven sakes men close the kitchen cabinets.

Romney wins 4th GOP debate

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney lived up to expectations as the current front runner in Iowa. With less than a week before the very important Iowa straw poll, Mitt Romney only helped himself with a clean and polished performance during ABC's Sunday morning debate at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

He scored points with the conservative crowd by attacking Barack Obama's recent statements about unilaterally invading Pakistan and meeting personally with the likes of Castro and Chavez. Romney said, "He's gone from Jane Fonda to Dr. Strangelove in one week", which drew laughter and applause from the audience.

Romney also stood tough against Senator Brownback's recent attacks that he is not pro-life. Governor Romney stated firmly, "I get tired of people that are holier than thou because they've been pro-life longer than I have." He later explained that his biggest mistake politically was while running for the Senate in Massachusetts in 1994 being effectively pro-choice while personally pro-life. Romney pointed out that when it came to making decisions on life as Governor that he always came down on the side of life and he would be a pro-life President.

Mitt Romney was very clear and thorough on issues such as health care, the war in Iraq, and fighting Jihadists. His knowledge and superb debating skills helped him distance himself from the other two front runners Rudy Giuliani and John McCain.

Mitt won the debate and is primed to win the straw poll in Ames, Iowa on August 11, 2007.
